The following services are covered by the foreign travel health insurance TRAVEL according to the agreed reimbursement rate (up to 100 percent of the cost):

Outpatient

  • Medical remedies such as physiotherapy, massage, medical baths etc.
  • Medical aids that are required for the first time due to an accident occurring during travel abroad, excluding visual aids and hearing aids
  • Transport for medical purposes to the nearest doctor by recognized rescue services

Inpatient

  • Medical treatments, including surgery costs
  • Accommodation in a single-bed room in the hospital
  • Free choice of a universally recognized hospital
  • Transport for medical purposes to the nearest hospital by recognized rescue services
  • Accommodation for a parent for inpatient treatment of a child (under 13)
  • Access to the best possible inpatient care at home and abroad, even without advance payment from the statutory health insurance scheme

Dental

  • Free choice of dentist
  • Pain-relieving dental treatment
  • Medically necessary dental fillings
  • Repairs to previously existing tooth material
